The creation of any production is a shared experience – it has to be. Early in my career I watched a director and client argue for hours about how to shoot a pair of tennis shoes. Many egos and opinions were in play. I understand it’s my job to make your vision a reality, so I make it a practice to listen...it’s an invaluable practice!
Creating Quality
Production is much like real estate...Location, Location, Location. I’ve worked in almost all 50 states with crews of all shapes and sizes. Sitting on the rim of the Grand Canyon or setting up a Carousel on a beach in Miami, I’ve done it. Part of what makes this process exciting and challenging is logistics and that’s where I excel. I’m an avid lover of animals. My wife and I have a passion for dogs. Dogs bring out the best in people. Yes, there are five dogs, and 4 are rescues...they have a short amount of time to make a positive impression. Not unlike our business! A portion of each project is donated to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. At Five Dog Films we encourage everyone to please donate to your local animal shelter.
